I am a world cyclist, traveling around the globe by bicycle.
I cannot put into words the joy I felt when my Europe trip finally began. My route was set: from Kathmandu to Sweden, via Qatar, because my visa had been issued by Sweden.
Cycling from Paris to Geneva is a big deal. It is not about riding my bike for 541 kilometers. It is about seeing how strong I can be finding things and learning about myself. This trip was part of my plan to cycle around the world. And I have to say it was one of the parts of my whole journey.
I started in Paris, which’s a city that is full of history and cool things to see. I left the streets and famous landmarks behind and slowly made my way into the quiet countryside of France. The first few days were fun. Also pretty tough. My body was not used to riding my bike for long. I was riding around 70 to 90 kilometers every day. I followed roads through small villages, farms and quiet areas. The countryside of France is really beautiful. I saw green fields, vineyards and cute houses that looked like they were from a picture book.
I kept cycling from Paris to Geneva. It was an amazing experience. Cycling from Paris to Geneva was something I will never forget. The whole trip was about cycling from Paris, to Geneva and I loved every part of it.
Wonderful but Challenging tour
I really loved meeting people on my trip. When we did not speak the same language they would smile and we would have simple conversations, which made me feel welcome everywhere I went. I would often stop at cafés to take a break drink some coffee and eat some fresh bread or pastries. These little things made the tiring days a lot better.
As I got closer to France the countryside started to look different. The flat ground turned into hills that rolled up and down and cycling became harder on my body. There were times when I had to try hard especially when I was going up steep hills.. The views from the top were amazing and that made all the hard work worth it. After I climbed up a hill I would get to go down the side and that was really fun because I could relax and feel the cool wind on my face.
The weather was a part of my trip. Some days were sunny and perfect, for cycling and other days it rained and the wind was strong. These things tested my patience. Made me want to keep going. Cycling in the rain was not fun. It taught me to keep going even when things are tough and to always think about what I want to achieve. The weather was something I had to deal with. Cycling in eastern France was still an amazing experience.
Crossing into Geneva, Switzerland
I was going to Switzerland on my bicycle and I had to go to Geneva. This was one of the parts of my whole bike trip. I had been riding my bike through France for days. Then I got to the border of Switzerland. It was really easy to cross. There were no lines or people stopping me. It was like I just rode my bike into a country. The roads in Switzerland were really nice. The towns were neat and clean. The air even felt cleaner.
As I kept riding my bike the mountains started to appear in the distance. I saw the Alps. It was really exciting. I felt happy. I had more energy to keep going. The last part of my trip to Geneva was hard. It was also really cool. The hills were not too steep. The bike paths were nice and easy to follow. My body was tired from riding my bike for many days.. I still had fun riding to Geneva. When I got close to the city there were cars, on the road.. Everything was still calm and nice. Geneva is a city because it has a lot of nature and the city is really clean and nice too.

Paris, France
Geneva, Switzerland
Geneva is an peaceful city. It is located along the shores of Lake Geneva. The first thing I noticed was the Jet d’Eau. It shoots water into the sky. You can see it from parts of the city. Sitting by the lake after my journey was great. The calm water, the mountains and the clean environment made it perfect to relax and think.
Geneva is important for organizations. The United Nations and the Red Cross are based here. This makes Geneva special. People from cultures live and work together. Walking through the streets I felt this diversity. I heard languages ate different food and saw different lifestyles.
Geneva feels quiet and relaxed. The public transport runs on time. The streets are very clean. People respect rules and space. There are cafés along the lake, small parks and scenic viewpoints. These make it a great place to unwind.
I rode a bicycle to Geneva. This made it more special. It was not about getting here. It was about working being determined and being passionate.
As I looked back, on the road I felt proud. I felt grateful. I felt inspired to keep going.

The Swiss Reality: An Expensive Country
For a cyclist who travels a way and does not have a lot of money Switzerland is a big wake up call. The country is really beautiful. Everything is very organized but it costs a lot of money to be there. My time in Geneva was really great. It was also very short.
I did not get to stay in Geneva for a time but I would not have wanted to change anything. My time in Geneva was short and exciting. It was a great way to end a really amazing part of my life. It was like getting a glimpse of a kind of life one that is very fancy and perfect and it is very different from the rough and real place I was living in La Courneuve. Switzerland and Geneva were a contrast, to my normal life.
