Teej Festival 2025: Celebrations in Nepal and Abroad

August 26, 2025, marks the celebration of Teej in Nepal. Over the past week, the festive atmosphere has been growing across the country, as women prepare for one of the most important Hindu festivals dedicated to goddess Parvati.

Teej, however, is not only celebrated within Nepal. Nepali communities living abroad also observe the festival with the same enthusiasm and cultural pride. To add to the celebrations, popular artists from Nepal often travel overseas during this time to perform in Teej special events, bringing a taste of home and tradition to the diaspora.

If you look at the artists’ social media accounts now, they are filled with photos from special events. Singers are busy with domestic events, while some are at events abroad.

It is also an important opportunity for artists to connect with audiences and spread Nepali culture around the world. This is also increasing the income graph of artists.

Popular artists are currently more busy abroad than at home. Artists, including Nepali ones, are performing in every corner of the world. Recently, artists who have been in the news this year have been seen more busy in foreign programs. There is a demand for new and old folk singers in special programs on this day. Programs are being held abroad in America, Australia, Gulf countries, Europe and Japan.
